For the laptop all I did was typed in the SSID name and entered the WPA2 password in Broadcom utility and off I go.
For those 2 desktops after I replaced the DI-624 to DIR-655 and that is when all of this Validating Identity started.
Even after we uncheck the "verify server certificate" option, it still seems to try to validate the certificate.
Because the ACS/Radius server doesn't have a trusted certificate, it doesn't connect and we get a "11514 Unexpectedly received empty TLS message; treating as a rejection by the client" message on the ACS logs.
As you can tell I dont know much about networking : PDuring time that I had DI-624 router.
Under my Local Area Connection Properties and on the Authentication tab Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network was checked.
Everything came pre-loaded on the laptop so Im not sure why the Authentication tab wasnt there.
Or perhaps it was a wireless laptop and there is no need for that tab.
EAP type was Smart Card or other certificate and Authenticate as computer when computer information is available was checked.
