Rowupdating which wasn t
The simplest solutions for this error is : Just change the “Command Name” property of the “Edit” button from “Edit” to “Edit Row”(or something else which is relevent to you but make sure it is not “Edit”). After scratching my head for sometime I found that the words like “Edit” are reserved to invoke some built in functionality of the Grid View.
So when we use these special key words as the Command Name for the buttons in the Grid View, they automatically invoke the built in functionality of the Grid View when we click on the button.
everything works perfectly without raising any exception. perhaps setting the rowupdated event handler need also the rowupdating event handler (I didn't check it out at the moment) I still get the same error.
There must be a way to disable these events like On Row Updating=null.
If I do not provide it, I will get the error "Grid View 'dgd_Alerts' fired event Row Updating which wasn't handled".
Hi there, Edit and Delete command names are reserved names and will trigger the events mentioned that your code isn't handling.
